Honkai Star Rail 2.2 Release Date and Banners were announced in the recent Livestream of HoYoverse. The title of the Honkai Star Rail 2.2 patch is Then Wake to Weep. In this article, we will summarize everything that was revealed during the stream.
Honkai Star Rail 2.2 Release Date
Honkai Star Rail version 2.2 will be officially released on 8th May 2024. You can preload the patch before it goes live. You will be notified by the Honkai Star Rail Launcher when the download becomes available.
As always, the Honkai Star Rail 2.2 patch will come with new content and features. We will get three new time-limited events, two new characters, new Trailblaze Missions, and the end of Penacony's main storyline.
Honkai Star Rail 2.2 New Characters
Two new playable characters are making their debut In Honkai Star Rail 2.2. They are, Robin and Boothill alongside the return of 5-star characters Topaz & Numby and Fu Xuan.

Just Intonation & Sunset Clause ( May 8th - May 29th )
Phase 1 of the 2.2 Banner schedule will start with Robin and Topaz. Honkai Star Rail Robin is the new 5-star Physical character who follows The Path of Harmony. The name of her banner is Just Intonation. Topaz is the returning 5-star Fire character who follows The Path of Hunt, and her banner is Sunset Clause. Phase 1 Banners will run from 8th May to 29th May 2024.

- Hanya ( Physical, The Harmony )
- Xueyi ( Quantum, The Destruction )

Robin ★★★★★ Path – Harmony Element – Physical Robin is a 5-star Physical character who follows the Path of Harmony. Born in Penacony, she ascended to Cosmic fame as a Halovian singer. Known for her elegance and demure demeanor, she has returned home at the invitation of The Family to enchant everyone with her melodies at the Charmony Festival. Using the power of Harmony, she broadcasts her music, creating "resonance" that captivates not only her fans but all manners of lifeforms. |

Dusty Trail's Lone Star & Foreseen, Foreknown, Foretold ( May 29th - June 18th )
In Phase 2 of version 2.2, we have Boothill who is a 5-star physical character who follows the Path of Hunt, with his Dusty Trail's Lone Star Banner. And 5-star Quantum character Fu Xuan, who follows the Path of Destruction on her Foreseen, Foreknown, Foretold Banner. Phase 2 Banners should run from 29th May to 18th June.

Fu Xuan ★★★★★ Path – Preservation Element – Quantum Fu Xuan is a 5-star Quantum character who follows the Path of Preservation. She leads the Divination Commission of Xianzhou Luofu. She is known for her confident and straightforward nature. Using her third eye and the Matrix of Prescience, Fu Xuan calculates the route of Xianzhou and predicts future events' fortunes. She firmly believes that her actions are always the best solution for any situation. While she awaits the general's promised "abdication. However, that day still seems very far away. |
Honkai Star Rail 2.2 Light Cones
Along with the new characters, two new 5-star Honkai Star Rail Light Cones will be featured in the Honkai Star Rail 2.2 Brilliant Fixation Banner. Robin's signature Light Cone, Flowing Nightglow, and Boothill’s signature Light Cone, Sailing Towards a Second Life will be featured. Similarly, Topaz & Numby’s signature Light Cone, Worrisome, Blissful, and Jingliu's signature Light Cone, She Already Shut Her Eyes will be rerun in the same version.

The first half of the 2.1 Light Cone banners will showcase Flowing Nightglow, Worrisome, Blissful, and a new 4-star Light Cone, Boundless Choreo. These Light Cones will be available from May 08, 2024, to May 29, 2024.
The second half will feature Sailing Towards a Second Life and She Already Shut Her Eyes. They should be available from May 29, 2024, to June 18, 2024.
